Rebecca Stiemke was inducted as a new Rotarian today - Welcome Rebecca!

Trista reported that the club is now up to 26 active members with one to be inducted (Dave Homan) and one prospective (T Hepner). Trista also proposed further discussion of a fellowship gathering between the Rotary clubs in McHenry County. The members of the Noon club present at the meeting said they had recently discussed the very same subject. Trista will pursue further.

Phil Sweeney and Don Tonyan presented information on the St. Patrick's Volunteer Parade and Baggo Tourney on Sunday, March 13th, 2011. This idea is to promote local volunteer groups. It started small and has since grown over the last 3 years. There will be a run that starts at 8:00 a.m. and runs till 10 a.m. The course details are still being worked out with the city. The parade will begin at 1 p.m. by East Campus and will end at Veteran's Park. The committee has plans to have entertainment in the park starting at 2 p.m. The Bags Tournament will take place at the park and the fee will be $40.00 per two-player team. The committee is currently looking for sponsors for the event. Sponsors will get to participate in the parade and post banners at the park. The paper drive was discussed and we will coordinate with the committee the best way to handle gathering the items.

The meeting adjourned at 8:28 a.m.
