On Wednesday June 26th the McHenry Sunrise Rotary club set sail for a 2 hour river cruise on the Fox River. This is our annual changing of the guard boat trip.
The weather was warm and a perfect night on the river. Many member’s spouses and guests joined us this year . In all there were 23 attendees this year. Members all brought a dish to pass and the main dish was provided by Rotarian Chef Debi from Stucky’s Bar and Grille and Meals Like Mom.

Outgoing President Matt Colby spoke about the great year we had and even presented awards. Mike Lehman received the Chuck R. Peterson Award and at the next week’s meeting Jeff Batt received the Rotarian of the Year Award and Matt Colby received a plaque recognizing his year as president.

Incoming president David Liss was presented with a special presidential pin that was his father’s back when he was a president of his former Rotary Club. This was put together by his awesome wife Deana Liss. David spoke briefly about his upcoming year and his excitement to serve our club.

Several members and guests had fun singing karaoke along with the boat’s crew.

A special thanks to the outgoing board, President Matt Colby, President Elect and Secretary David Liss, Treasurer Mike Lehman, Sergeant at Arms Carl Vallianatos and Director Greg Miller.

The new 2019-2020 board was introduced. President David Liss, President Elect Mike Lehman, Secretary Jeri Settles, Treasurer Donna Adams, Sergeant at Arms Jeff Batt, Director Greg Miller and Immediate Past President Matt Colby.

We have many exciting events and service projects in the next 6 months.
