This meeting was the February fellowship breakfast held at the Brunch Cafe.

The next St. Patrick's Day Parade planning meeting will be held on Monday, February 28th, at Buddy'z at 6 p.m.

The Shamrock Shuffle 5K and the Parade will take place on Sunday, March 13th.

Sign-ups for the Human Race 5K that will be held on Saturday, April 16th, in the Prime Parkway are increasing. Be sure to sign up to benefit our Rotary club, if you haven't already.

Shelly will attend PETS training on Friday and she along with Duane, Maureen, and Trista will attend break-out sessions at the District Assembly on Saturday in Schaumburg.

Trista said that planning for the upcoming multi-club fellowship event is moving right along.  UPDATE: Joe Zubrzycki has secured the party room at Dunnhill's for the evening of Friday, May 6th, from 6-9 p.m.  The cost to attend this cocktail party to promote fellowship among Rotarians in our area will be $20/person (payable at the door), which will include appetizers and soft drinks.  A cash bar will be available in the party room itself.  You're welcome to bring a guest - especially any prospective Rotarians!

Sue Low gave the Know A Rotarian presentation.  Given my propensity toward sappiness, I had to stop myself from crying a few times as she told us about being Bethany's mom and how she learned that working with special-needs children was her life's calling.  It is a pleasure to have Sue as the mayor of McHenry and most especially as an active Rotarian in our club.  Thanks, Sue!

Our next meeting will be back at the Shah Center on March 2nd when Sue will give an abbreviated State of the City presentation to the club.
